Eyelash Extensions - FAQ
WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Eyelash extensions are a cosmetic application that enhances the length, fullness, curl, and thickness of the eyelashes.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
After getting eyelash extensions, there will no longer be a need for mascara, lash curlers, lash lifts, lash tints, and the like. The application is painless and the results last 2-3 weeks.
INFORMATION ON FILL-INS
As the natural lashes grow and fall out, the extensions grow and fall out with them.
Outgrown eyelashes that have not fallen out are replaced during the fill-in appointment and gaps are filled in.
After the fill-in appointment, you leave with a fuller appearance than when you walked in! Your eyelashes look like a full set all over again!
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED A FILL-IN?
Fill-ins are recommended every 2-3 weeks. Your appointment will only be classified as a fill-in if you have at least 40% of the extensions remaining. Anything less than 40% is considered a full set, which you will also be charged for.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?
Make sure to wear comfy clothing, remove contact lenses, and remove any eye makeup. Also, please be sure to contact family and friends before your appointment. Texting and Facetime calls are not allowed during appointment times. Trying to open your eyes to answer calls and texts or asking me to assist you with phone calls and texts hinders the time in which the service is complete and is a major inconvenience.
Also, please make sure you have at least 40% of the extensions remaining if you are returning for a fill-in. If not, please change your appointment type.
WHAT SHOULD I DO DURING MY APPOINTMENT?
Take this time to relax. It is totally fine to take a nap during your appointment. Feel free to listen to music also. But please be sure not to open your eyes during the appointment nor reach for the tape under your eyes. If something feels uncomfortable, please communicate this with me immediately.
WHAT DO I DO AFTER MY APPOINTMENT ( FOR AFTERCARE)?
Make sure to not get the extensions wet after 24 hours of application - this goes for full sets and fills.
After the initial 24 hours, wash and brush the extensions at the lash line regularly to remove any oils, dirt, and build-up (especially for those who wear make-up).
Avoid mascaras, lash curlers, strip lashes, and oil-based makeup removers.
Avoid picking and pulling the extensions - this can cause traction alopecia, infection, and major irritation.
Make sure to schedule fills every 2-3 weeks for upkeep.
